Kijiko Kali

Kijiko Kali (KK)

Kijiko Kali is a self-stabilizing spoon, meant to help people with neurological disordes to feed themselves. The top is detatchable, so that it can double as a fork.

The development of Kijiko Kali was born after a visit to the Association for the Physically Disabled in Kenya. After interacting with people who had hand tremors due to neurological disorders, and understanding their needs from the care givers, it seemed fit to develop Kijiko Kali, in attemp to make the patients a little more self-sufficient. This was developed as part of the Mekatilili fellowship program.
